The Royal House: New Round of Consultations on Saturday

Read Time:38 Second

Venstre chairman Troels Lund Poulsen went to the King on Saturday evening and announced that it had not been possible to form a government within the framework of the mandate he received following the royal consultations on May 8.

After Troels Lund Poulsen’s visit to Amalienborg, the King held talks with acting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Mette Frederiksen subsequently recommended that the parties’ representatives once again be summoned to indicate who should now be given the task of leading negotiations on a new government.

Therefore, the parties’ representatives have been called in for a new round of consultations with the King at Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg on Saturday. The parties will meet individually, beginning with the Social Democrats at 11:00 AM.
