Denmark Secures Euro 2024 Berth with Victory Over Slovenia
The Danish national football team has secured a ticket to the European Championship in Germany next year.
On Friday evening, the team faced Slovenia at Parken.
After 26 minutes, Joakim Mæhle put Denmark ahead 1-0. However, four minutes later, Erik Janza equalized for Slovenia.
Denmark then dominated the game, and ten minutes into the second half, Thomas Delaney made it 2-1, which also turned out to be the final score when the referee blew the whistle to end the match.
The result ensured Denmark’s top spot in qualification group H, thus qualifying for the European Championship.
