Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen believes that Israel should follow the ruling from the The International Court of Justice and cease the military offensive in Rafah.

This is reported by dr.dk.

The ruling from The International Court of Justice was announced on Friday.

In addition to requiring Israel to halt its military offensive in Rafah, the court also mandated that Israel keep the border crossing at Rafah open for emergency aid and grant full access to investigators from UN institutions, who will determine whether genocide is occurring in Gaza.

Israel has refused to accept the court’s decision.

“International law must be respected by all countries, and Denmark expects as a natural extension of this that Israel complies with the ruling instead of engaging in discussions with the court,” Lars Løkke Rasmussen stated according to DR.dk.

The court ruling also demanded the release of hostages held by Hamas and other Palestinian groups.
