Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

Copenhagen Police are investigating three stabbings that took place over the weekend.

The police are treating the three stabbings as isolated incidents.

The first one occurred on Saturday, just before 7 PM, where a 15-year-old boy was stabbed on Strøget near Jorcks Passage. The boy was seriously injured but, according to the police, is not in a life-threatening condition.

On Sunday, shortly after 5:30 PM, the police received a report that a 33-year-old man had been stabbed on Slotsgade in Nørrebro. Initially, it was reported that he was seriously injured, but the police later stated that he was not in a life-threatening condition.

The third stabbing occurred just before 2 AM on Sunday near Lergravsparken in Amager. An 18-year-old man was stabbed multiple times with a knife but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The police arrested a 16-year-old young man on Monday and charged him in connection with the stabbing that occurred on Sunday night. The 16-year-old will be presented in a preliminary court hearing on Tuesday.

Copenhagen Police have stated that, at this point, there is no indication that the three cases are connected. There are also no signs that they are related to any of the other stabbings that occurred last week.

-“We have initiated comprehensive investigations in all three cases. Currently, there is no evidence in the investigations to suggest a connection between them,” said Vice Police Inspector Jesper Beuschel.

-“There are also no indications that the stabbings are linked to the ongoing gang conflict, but it is too early to confirm,” Jesper Beuschel added.

Copenhagen Police would like to hear from any witnesses who may have seen anything relevant to the three cases. They can be reached at the phone number 1-1-4.
