DMI upgrades warning to ‘Dangerous weather’

DMI has upgraded its warning of cloudbursts, hail, thunder and strong gusts of wind to category 2 – dangerous weather.

On Sunday, DMI first issued a risk warning and then a category 1 warning – severe weather for most of the country.

On Monday morning, the warning has been upgraded to category 2 applicable to
warning for cloudbursts, hail, thunder and strong gusts of wind, for the northern and eastern parts of Jutland, Funen, Zealand and Bornholm.

According to the latest forecast, DMI expects thunderstorms and local cloudbursts. Between 25 and 35 mm of rain can fall in 30 minutes. The showers can be with hail and strong wind gusts of 15-23 m/s.

In the rest of the country, DMI has issued a risk warning.

The notice is valid until Monday evening at 20:00.
