The Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has issued a statement following the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka Dam in Ukraine on Tuesday morning.
The destruction of the dam has resulted in large quantities of water flowing into the Dnieper River, causing significant flooding.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen states:
“Horrified by news of the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam. Our commitment to Ukraine is unwavering and our support will continue for as long as it takes. My thoughts go to Ukraine and civilians affected.”
Ukraine claims that it was the Russians who were responsible for the explosion of the 3.2-kilometer-long dam. The Russians deny these allegations and instead accuse Ukraine of being behind it.
