Police Fire Shots in Pursuit of Suspects Linked to Robbery

Read Time:55 Second

Police fired shots on Sunday morning in connection with a pursuit of two cars that the police were trying to stop.

It was a request from the Swedish police that prompted the police to respond. One car, a Swedish-registered VW Golf, had been linked by the Swedish police to a robbery committed in the swedish town Helsingborg earlier that night, just prior to the arrests in Copenhagen.

They managed to stop the Golf in Hvidovre. A 22-year-old man was behind the wheel, accompanied by a 23-year-old Swedish woman in the car.

According to the Copenhagen Police, no individuals were hit and no one was injured.

The second car, a Volvo, also Swedish-registered, was stopped at the Sjællandsbroen bridge. The driver was a 21-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman was in the car with him. The stoppage of the Volvo was less dramatic, as stated by the police. They are now investigating the relationship between the two individuals in the second car.

The case is now being investigated in collaboration with the Swedish police.
