50 firefighters battled the flames
50 firefighters and 15 vehicles were deployed against a severe fire in a large waste storage facility in an industrial building on Islevdalvej in Rødovre, during the night of Sunday.
The report of the fire was received at 12:40 am, and the firefighters finished their extinguishing work only after nearly five hours.
Hovedstadens Beredskab states that they managed to limit the fire to the waste storage, and the building was minimally affected.
Since the fire was in an industrial area, no residents were significantly affected, according to the head of operations at Hovedstadens Beredskab.
