32-year-old charged with the murder of Emilie Meng

The police have now charged the 32-year-old man, who is already in custody in a case of abduction and abuse of a 13-year-old girl, for the murder of Emilie Meng.

It came out on Wednesday at a press conference at the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police.

Emilie Meng disappeared after a city trip in July 2016 and was found dead in a lake near Borup almost half a year later.
The 32-year-old has been charged with deprivation of liberty, rape and murder of Emilie Meng. He has also been charged with attempted deprivation of liberty and attempted rape in connection with an assault on a young woman in Sorø in 2022. The woman was threatened with a knife, but she resisted and escaped.
