Imprisonment and Deportation: Stabbed Taxi Driver with Knife
A 37-year-old Serbian citizen was sentenced on Wednesday at the Court in Svendborg to three years and three months in prison for stabbing a taxi driver multiple times with a knife.
The attack took place in January this year at the train station in Svendborg, and the victim was in critical condition after the incident.
In addition to the prison sentence, the 37-year-old man was deported from Denmark with a six-year entry ban. He was immediately imprisoned after the sentencing.
-“Even though we had argued for a four-year prison term, we are satisfied with the verdict, which signals that this kind of violence has no place in a society like Denmark,” said senior prosecutor Charlotte Ragus.
