The military drops aid over Gaza
A C-130 transport plane from the Danish military dropped aid over Gaza on Sunday.
The military reported this in a press release.
The plane took off from Jordan heading towards Gaza.
“I am glad that Denmark is contributing to the humanitarian effort in Gaza. For those on the ground, every single box of aid makes a difference, and I am proud that the skilled employees of the military step up at short notice and contribute when needed. And there is a need for it in Gaza,” says Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
Since the Danish Defense’s C-130 transport plane landed in Jordan last Thursday, time has been spent on preparations such as planning, packing cargo, and coordinating with the other participants in the Jordan-led mission.
In addition to the transport plane, the Danish contribution to the mission also includes liaison officers on the ground. The aircraft and personnel are expected to return to Denmark promptly.
