On Thursday morning, the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, together with the police, carried out a larger coordinated operation at several locations in the country and arrested three individuals.
The three are suspected of preparing a terrorist attack.
At a press conference at the Police Headquarters in Copenhagen on Thursday afternoon, the operational chief of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), Flemming Drejer, stated that there are connections to the prohibited gang “Loyal To Family” and links to foreign countries.
He did not disclose the motives behind the terrorist attack or whether there was a specific target. He also declined to comment on whether it was an imminent threat.
The three individuals arrested during today’s operation will be brought before a court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday evening.
