Danish Intelligence Agency Implements Security Measures at Swedish Interests Following Terror Attack in Belgium
The Danish Police Intelligence Service, PET, is closely monitoring the situation following the shooting attack in Belgium Monday night, where two Swedish nationals were killed and one was injured.
The intelligence agency has classified the attack as a terror attack.
In a press release, PET has stated that in collaboration with “relevant Danish authorities,” they have initiated a series of security measures at selected Swedish interests in Denmark.
The specific Swedish interests and the nature of the security measures are not disclosed in the press release.
On Monday evening, the intelligence service classified the attack as a terror attack and reported that the terror threat level remains “serious,” which is level four out of five. Monday’s attack does not warrant any changes in the threat assessment domestically.
