A 38-year-old man has been remanded in custody following a shooting incident on Thursday evening on Motorring 3 in Lyngby.

Around 11:00 PM, shots were fired at a car driven by a 42-year-old man. The shots came from a man in another car, which had been driving behind the 42-year-old and repeatedly flashing its high beams. Subsequently, the man pulled up alongside the 42-year-old and fired at him.

The driver of the other car, a 38-year-old man from Rødovre, was later arrested and charged with attempted murder and violation of the firearms law under particularly aggravating circumstances.

The arrested individual was brought before a closed-door court hearing in Hillerød on Friday and was remanded in custody for 14 days.

North Zealand Police report that there are no indications of a connection between the suspect and the driver of the car he shot at, and there is no suspicion of gang involvement.
