Strong winds lead to train cancellations on Tuesday

The strong winds are now causing DSB to cancel several train departures on Tuesday.

The Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI, has forecasted gusts of storm force on Tuesday, leading DSB to plan for reduced train services compared to normal. As a result, there are cancellations on several routes across the country.

Below you can see how DSB plans to operate on Tuesday:

Between regions:

InterCity trains between Copenhagen H and Aalborg are running as usual.
InterCity trains between Østerport and Esbjerg are running as usual.
InterCityLyn trains between CPH Airport, Aalborg Airport, Struer, and Sønderborg are running as usual.
InterCityLyn+ between CPH Airport and Aarhus H is not running.
InterCityLyn between Østerport and Odense (“PendlerLyn”) during rush hours are not running.

Operating on Zealand (Sjælland):

Regional trains between Helsingør and Næstved via Roskilde:
Trains every 30 minutes with stops at all stations.
Rush hour trains between Helsingør and Copenhagen H are not running.

Regional trains between Nivå and Næstved via Køge:
One train per hour between Copenhagen and Næstved.
Not operating between Nivå and Copenhagen H.

Regional trains between Østerport, Næstved, and Nykøbing Falster:
Rush hour trains are not running between Næstved and Nykøbing Falster.

Regional trains between Østerport, Holbæk, and Kalundborg:
One train per hour between Copenhagen H and Kalundborg.
One train per hour between Østerport and Holbæk.
Rush hour trains between Østerport and Kalundborg are not running.

Regional trains between CPH Airport and Slagelse.
Not running.

Operating on Funen (Fyn):

Regional trains between Odense and Fredericia are running as usual.

Operating in Jutland (Jylland):

Regional trains between Fredericia and Aarhus H are not running.

Other trains than usual stop at Børkop, Brejning, and Hedensted:
InterCity trains towards Aarhus H stop.
InterCityLyn trains towards Fredericia stop.

Operating to and from Germany:

InterCity trains between Copenhagen H and Hamburg Hbf are running as usual.
InterCity trains between Aarhus H and Flensburg/Hamburg Hbf are not running between Aarhus H and Fredericia.

S-trains also affected by the windy weather

The strong wind is causing issues for the S-trains as well, with reduced speeds on all routes, resulting in delays for several S-trains.

According to DSB, S-trains will operate at reduced speeds until 7:00 PM on Tuesday.

DSB notes that during daytime hours (between 6 AM and 8 PM), S-trains will depart 3 minutes earlier from Køge and 2 minutes earlier from Hillerød and Frederikssund. Unfortunately, this information is not displayed on the station’s information screens as well as on DinStation and Rejseplanen.

Departure times from Hillerød and Køge:

Line A has new departure times from Hillerød at minute marks 04-14-24-34-44-54. Returns to normal departure time from Holte.

Line E has new departure times from Køge at minute marks 02-12-22-32-42-52. Returns to normal departure time from Hundige.

Departure times from Frederikssund:

Track 1 new departure times at minute marks 15-35-55. Returns to normal departure time from Ballerup. Track 2 new departure times at minute marks 03-23-42. Returns to normal departure time from Ballerup.
