Man and woman convicted of attempted money laundring
Copenhagen City Court (Københavns Byret) on Wednesday sentenced a 48-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman for attempting to launder over two million Danish kroner in different countries’ currencies.
The man and woman arrived by train from Sweden and had a plane ticket to Istanbul in Turkey when they were arrested at the airport at the end of September 2022.
The 48-year-old man was sentenced to 1 year and 9 months in prison and also permanently deported, while the 47-year-old woman was sentenced to one year in prison and given an entry ban for 12 years.
The money was confiscated.
