Newborn child abducted from maternity ward
A newborn child was abducted from Slagelse Hospital in the early evening on Saturday.
The police released picture and numberplate data for at blue van, which the abductor was driving.
Shortly after 9:30 pm, the police releasede a statemen saying, that the van had been stopped and the abductor arrested, and that the children were safe.
Several media outlets, including TV2east.dk and Ekstrabladet.dk, write that the abductor was the child’s grandfather, who removed the little baby from the maternity ward at Slagelse Hospital. The child had been forcibly removed by the authorities at birth.
