Wozniacki inducted into the Hall of Fame

Former tennis player Caroline Wozniacki has been inducted into the Danish Sports Hall of Fame.

It was revealed at the big Sport2022 show at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning.

The 32-year-old Wozniacki can look back on a career that made her a world star. In total, she was number one in the world rankings for 71 weeks, she won 30 tournaments on the WTA Tour, she won the Grand Slam tournament Australian Open, and she was the Danish flag bearer at the Rio Olympics.

It was HRH Crown Prince Frederik who was on stage to present Caroline Wozniacki with the title of new member of the Sports Hall of Fame.

Sports Name of the Year

At the same show, Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard was named sports name of the year. At the 2022 Tour de France, Vingegaard won two stages, the polka dot jersey and the yellow jersey.
