23-year-old charged with possession of two loaded handguns in Copenhagen

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the possession of firearms in Copenhagen.
According to Copenhagen Police, an investigation into a firearms case led to the arrest of the man, a Somali national, on Wednesday.
Police said the man was found in possession of a large knife. A subsequent search of his address in Copenhagen’s Nordvest district uncovered two loaded handguns, ammunition and a large amount of cash.
The weapons, ammunition and cash were seized by police.
The 23-year-old is due to appear at a preliminary court hearing on Thursday at the Copenhagen District Court division at Vestre Prison.
