83 cyclists fined for riding the wrong way in Copenhagen

Copenhagen Police fined 83 cyclists for riding the wrong way along the one-way Teaterpassagen between Gammel Kongevej and Vesterbrogade.
The traffic police carried out a targeted operation in the area on Monday afternoon.
During the operation, 83 cyclists were stopped and each fined DKK 1,000 for riding against the permitted direction of traffic. Teaterpassagen is one-way for all vehicles, including bicycles.
Police are urging cyclists travelling between Gammel Kongevej and Vesterbrogade to use the surrounding streets and to always pay attention to road signs.
