23-year-old arrested in Amager explosion murder case

A 23-year-old Bulgarian national was arrested at Copenhagen Airport on Monday evening in connection with an explosion on Amager that killed a 31-year-old man on 25 May 2026.
The 23-year-old is charged with complicity in murder and is suspected of having played a coordinating role in the case.
He is due to appear at a preliminary court hearing at 11:30 a.m. at the Copenhagen City Court division at Vestre Prison. The prosecution will request that the hearing be held behind closed doors.
Six other people remain in custody in connection with the case.
