25-year-old sentenced to more than five years in prison in drug case
A 25-year-old man from Sønderborg has been sentenced by the Court in Sønderborg to five years and two months in prison for possession and distribution of large quantities of narcotics.
The man was convicted of possessing and distributing a total of 2.48 kilograms of cocaine and 13.3 kilograms of cannabis.
According to the case, the 25-year-old was involved in organised drug trafficking in the Sønderborg area. The sales were carried out, among other methods, through a so-called drug dealing phone.
He was arrested on 22 March this year and has remained in pre-trial detention since then. Following the sentencing, he will remain in custody until the start of his prison term.
The case is part of a larger complex of cases in which seven verdicts have so far been delivered. Two additional individuals are still awaiting trial.
The 25-year-old admitted the offences during the proceedings and accepted the verdict.
