17-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder Following Shooting at Apartment

Copenhagen Police have arrested or detained three teenage boys following a shooting in the Bispeparken area of Copenhagen NV on Sunday evening.

Police state that, following an intensive investigation and search operation in the area, a 17-year-old and two 14-year-old boys were apprehended. The 17-year-old is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing at the Frederiksberg District Court’s division located in Vestre Prison on June 9 at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder. According to police, he is suspected of firing shots with an automatic weapon at an apartment door in Bispeparken. Police will request that the preliminary hearing be held behind closed doors.

Social services have been involved in relation to the two 14-year-old boys.

Police received the report of the shooting on June 8 at 8:11 p.m. According to the report, one or more individuals fired shots at an apartment door inside a stairwell in Bispeparken. Police subsequently maintained a significant presence at the address and in the surrounding area.

No one was injured in the shooting. Police state that the case is being investigated thoroughly and broadly and that they would still like to hear from anyone who observed suspicious activity in connection with the incident. Police can be contacted on telephone number 114.
