Mette Frederiksen Announces New Cabinet and Ministerial Appointments
At 10 a.m., Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen presented her new government to the King at Amalienborg.
The cabinet has undergone a significant reshuffle, and several prominent Social Democratic ministers are stepping down. This includes, among others, Morten Dybvad Bek and Mathias Tesfaye. In addition, some ministers have been assigned new portfolios. For example, Magnus Heunicke is no longer Minister for the Environment and Minister for Gender Equality but is now Minister for Education, while Peter Hummelgaard is moving to the Ministry of Finance from the Ministry of Justice.
In total, the new government consists of 21 ministers.
