Brøndby IF Issues Lifetime Ban After Incident Involving Woman in Wheelchair

Brøndby IF has issued a lifetime ban to one person following an incident during Thursday’s match against F.C. Copenhagen, in which a woman in a wheelchair was subjected to serious and reckless harassment.

According to Brøndby IF, the individual manipulated the woman’s wheelchair and her assistive devices.

The club has reported the case to the police and handed over evidence material to investigators. Regarding the other individuals involved in the incident, the club says it is awaiting the outcome of the police investigation.

“This is a deeply shocking and disgraceful case that is completely incompatible with all norms and rules, whether in a stadium or in society in general. After a thorough review of the case, it is therefore very simple. Such callous and reckless behaviour results in a lifetime ban from Brøndby Stadium,” communications director Søren Hanghøj told the club’s website.
