Two men remanded in custody over major jewellery theft

Two foreign men have been remanded in custody for four weeks charged in connection with a major jewellery theft at the Rosengård Centre in Odense.

The two men were arrested in Aalborg on 15 May 2026 and are suspected of jewellery thefts in several parts of the country. The following day, they appeared before the Court in Odense, where both were remanded in custody for four weeks.

The men are charged with carrying out a jewellery theft at the Rosengård Centre in March 2026. Jewellery worth more than DKK 300,000 was stolen during the theft.

According to police, the two men are also suspected of being behind similar jewellery thefts elsewhere in the country.

The arrests were made after a security guard at a shopping centre in Aalborg recognised the men from surveillance footage linked to previous thefts.

The suspects are Georgian nationals aged 40 and 48.
