Severe roof fire in Copenhagen

A major fire has broken out in the roof of a residential property on Frederikssundsvej in Copenhagen’s Nordvest district.
Residents from four stairwells have been evacuated while firefighters battle the flames.
Frederikssundsvej has been closed between Hulgårdsvej and Theklavej. At the same time, Hulgårdsvej is closed between Borups Allé and Frederikssundsvej.
The fire is producing a significant amount of smoke drifting northwards, and police are urging local residents to avoid the smoke as much as possible and, if necessary, keep doors and windows closed.
Copenhagen Police state that there have been no reports of injuries.
The fire service and police are expected to remain at the scene for several hours.
