Six men aged between 25 and 48 were on Friday sentenced at the Court in Aarhus to 40 days of unconditional imprisonment each for participating in the continuation of Bandidos MC in Denmark, even though the association had at the time been provisionally banned.

The case stems from an incident on September 10, 2024, when a group of men from several cities showed up at the Court in Aarhus in connection with a preliminary hearing. Two individuals were presented with a view to pre-trial detention, suspected of having attacked a clubhouse used by Bandidos MC Denmark, to which the attendees had affiliations.

The men stayed both outside and inside the courthouse as a group and, among other things, took a group photo in front of the main entrance. On that basis, the court found that their presence was part of continuing Bandidos MC Denmark.

The association had been provisionally banned on May 22, 2024, and it was therefore not permitted to appear as a group in that context.

-“Since the ban on Bandidos MC came into force, we have seen several cases where a number of members have been convicted of continuing the banned association. In this situation, it was clear to East Jutland Police that the men in question were present to manifest themselves as Bandidos members, and I am therefore also satisfied that the Court in Aarhus in this case has reached the same assessment,” says special prosecutor Dorthe Lysgaard from the Prosecution Service at East Jutland Police.

A 59-year-old man from Aarhus C was acquitted due to his brief presence at the court that day, while a 38-year-old man from Tranbjerg J did not appear and will have his case decided at a later date.
