Busy 24 Hours for Greater Copenhagen Fire Department
The Greater Copenhagen Fire Department (Hovedstadens Beredskab) has had a busy 24-hour period from Thursday at 8:00 AM to Friday at 8:00 AM, responding to a number of different incidents across the capital region
According to the daily report, crews were dispatched at 3:56 PM to an incident that was quickly brought under control. Later in the afternoon at 5:19 PM, firefighters were again called out to a situation where their presence was required to secure the area.
In the evening at 8:31 PM, the fire department responded to a fire-related incident. This response follows an earlier fire, which you can read more about here: Fire breaks out at restaurant in central Copenhagen.
The night also brought several callouts. At 3:34 AM and again at 4:56 AM, crews responded to incidents where a rapid response was crucial. The early morning hours continued to be busy with dispatches at 6:57 AM and 7:14 AM, where firefighters handled situations requiring their assistance.
In addition to these incidents, the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department also responded to a number of false alarms during the 24-hour period. These alarms can be triggered by cooking, steam from showers, or technical faults in alarm systems. Even though no actual fire is present, the fire service must always respond quickly to ensure there is no danger.
