Read Time:1 Minute, 7 Second

With all votes in the parliamentary election counted shortly after midnight, it appears that all parties standing for election will secure seats in Parliament.

The Social Democrats are set to become the largest party with 21.9 percent of the vote in the preliminary count. The party thus distances itself from the others, with the Socialist People’s Party (SF) taking second place at 11.6 percent.

Venstre follows with 10.1 percent, while the Liberal Alliance achieves 9.4 percent. The Danish People’s Party comes close behind with 9.1 percent of the vote.

The Moderates receive 7.7 percent, while the Conservative People’s Party is just behind with 7.6 percent. The Red-Green Alliance secures 6.3 percent.

The Social Liberal Party and the Denmark Democrats both stand at 5.8 percent, placing them side by side in the results.

The Alternative receives 2.6 percent of the vote, while the Citizens’ Party ranks lowest with 2.1 percent.

The figures may change slightly during the final count.

Overall, the results point to a continued fragmented political landscape, with several parties relatively close in the middle, while the Social Democrats hold a clear leading position.

In the coming hours and possibly days, negotiations between the parties will determine who forms the government and who becomes prime minister.
