An 18-year-old man has been sentenced by the Court in Aarhus to a treatment order without a maximum time limit for, among other things, two assaults on random women in their homes in Lystrup near Aarhus. He has been held in pre-trial detention since his arrest in the summer of 2025 and will remain in custody following the judgment.

One of the incidents took place on 29 March 2025, when the now-convicted man gained access to a villa in Lystrup and entered a room where a 19-year-old woman was sleeping. She was struck several times on the head with a hardball gun. The perpetrator, who was masked, subsequently fled the scene.

On the night of 29 June, East Jutland Police received a similar report from another address in Lystrup. Two young women aged 19 and 20 had been sleeping when an unknown man gained access to the home. The man fled, and one of the women subsequently discovered that she was bleeding from her hand.

The 18-year-old, who lived nearby, was suspected and arrested the same day. He was later remanded in custody on 19 July and has been detained until the delivery of the judgment.

During the investigation, he was also charged with making threats against a headmaster at a school in Southeast Jutland which he had previously attended. He was also charged with throwing a stone through the window of the headmaster’s car and leaving a note with a threatening message. In addition to aggravated assault and unlawful trespass, he was convicted of violating the Danish Knife Act and the Danish Weapons Act.

The court also ordered him to pay compensation to the victims. The 18-year-old requested time to consider whether to appeal the judgment to the High Court.
