According to the latest seasonally adjusted figures from Statistics Denmark, total exports in current prices rose by 3.3 per cent from November to December. Exports of goods increased by 2.8 per cent, while exports of services fell by 4.0 per cent. The increase in goods exports was mainly due to higher exports of goods that do not cross the Danish border, which rose by 15.9 per cent. Exports of services during the period were supported by increased sea transport, which rose by 8 per cent.

On an annual basis, exports of goods and services increased by 3.7 per cent in 2025 compared with the previous year. The growth was driven by goods exports, which rose by 8.3 per cent, while exports of services declined by 2.5 per cent.

Overall export growth in 2025 amounted to DKK 71 billion, corresponding to 3.4 per cent. Exports to the EU27 increased by DKK 41.5 billion, corresponding to growth of 4.7 per cent, while exports to the United States grew by DKK 14.3 billion, or 4 per cent. However, seasonally adjusted exports to the United States fell in December 2025 by DKK 7.1 billion, corresponding to 17 per cent, compared with the same month the year before. According to Statistics Denmark, the decline should be seen in the light of an extraordinarily high level of Danish exports to the United States in December 2024.
