Russia: Greenland belongs to the Kingdom of Denmark
The spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, describes the situation surrounding Greenland as “extraordinary”.
This is reported by the Russian state news agency RIA.
According to the media outlet, Peskov says that Russia, like the rest of the world, is monitoring the extraordinary situation surrounding Greenland.
– “The situation is unusual; I would even say extraordinary from an international legal perspective.”
He also states that Moscow proceeds from the fact that Greenland belongs to the Kingdom of Denmark.
Since US President Trump began his second presidential term, he has repeatedly spoken about Greenland becoming part of the United States, and he has not ruled out the use of military force to achieve this.
