Finnish company to operate and maintain the Øresund trains
The state-owned Finnish company VR Group will take over the operation and maintenance of the Øresund trains on Sunday through its Swedish subsidiary, VR Sverige.
This is reported by News Øresund.
The agreement runs for five years and covers the daily operation as well as service and maintenance of a total of 111 trains.
VR replaces an interim arrangement in which Transdev was responsible for operations and Mantena for maintenance.
The aim of the new agreement is improved comfort, increased reliability, and better information for passengers.
