Read Time:55 Second

This Saturday offers two extra good reasons to visit the beautiful island of Orø in the Isefjord. The island is hosting both a Christmas market and a vintage market, taking place on the same day.

The magical Christmas market will be held at Luncbox on Bygaden 32 in Bybjerg from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a festive atmosphere with mulled wine, æbleskiver, coffee, hot cocoa and stalls offering Christmas items, jewellery, Orø yarn and much more.

Just 150 metres away, Bings on Brøndevej 2 will open its vintage market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring decorative arts, jewellery and other unique finds.

Getting to Orø is easy, either by ferry from Holbæk or via the cable ferry from Hammer Bakke in Hornsherred. The trip with M/F Orø from Holbæk is a pleasant 25-minute crossing, while the cable ferry from Hammer Bakke takes only a few minutes. Both ferries can carry cars and bicycles. For visitors arriving from Copenhagen by train, the ferry terminal in Holbæk is within walking distance of Holbæk Station.
