Man shot and killed at gas station in Ishøj
The Western CopenhagenPolice are investigating a homicide that occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday, when a man in his early 30s was shot at a gas station on Ishøj Stationsvej 8.
The man was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Police state that the next of kin have been notified.
Police are present in large numbers in the area and are working intensively on the case.
-“We would very much like to speak with any witnesses who saw something or who have any information about the shooting,” says Deputy Police Inspector Charlotte Skovby from the Western Copenhagen Police.
The motive for the shooting is still unclear, and the investigation is currently being carried out broadly.
-“We are conducting an intensive investigation and are focused on gathering information and securing technical evidence in the area,” adds Charlotte Skovby.
Police report that there will be increased presence in the area throughout the night and that local officers will also be visible tomorrow.
Witnesses are urged to contact the Western Copenhagen Police at 43 86 14 48 or approach officers directly at the scene.
