The Greater Copenhagen Fire Department responded to a number of incidents over the past 24 hours from 8:00 Sunday to 8:00 Monday, including several traffic accidents and minor building fires.

The day began at 08:31 with an inspection in Hostrups Have, where an acute water damage incident in an apartment building was attended to before the matter was handed over to the property management. Later, at 11:24, the department responded to a traffic accident on Stensbjerg, where two cars had collided on the light rail tracks. Four people were handed over to ambulance services. Another traffic accident followed at 13:00 on Borups Allé involving two cars, and the site was secured and cleared.

In the afternoon, a fire broke out in a dryer vent at Rebæk Søpark at 15:07. The fire was quickly extinguished, and ventilation was carried out in the laundry area and basement. Later, at 16:23, the department was called to Tibirkegade, where a small basement fire had already been extinguished before arrival. Firefighters conducted overhaul and ventilation of smoke.

At around 17:55, a car struck a lamppost on Herlev Hovedgade. The scene was secured and cleared. Later in the evening, at 18:19, a fire was reported in electrical installations on Slotsherrensvej. The fire had spread to the structure between the basement and ground floor, and firefighters had to cut into the building to extinguish a smoldering fire.

Shortly after, at 19:05, crews were dispatched to Nygårdsvej, where a car had crashed into the front of a store. The vehicle was pulled free, and the scene was handed over to the police. The final major incident of the day occurred at 20:59 in Albjergparken, where a container fire had already been extinguished before the fire department’s arrival.

In addition to these incidents, the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department also responded to several automatic fire alarms (AFA), some of which turned out to be false alarms triggered by steam, vandalism, or construction work.
