Bandidos MC in Denmark Dissolved by Court Ruling
The Court of Helsingør has today ruled to dissolve the association Bandidos MC in Denmark. The decision was made pursuant to Section 78, subsection 1 of the Danish Constitution, which allows for the dissolution of associations with unlawful purposes.
The court found it proven that Bandidos MC in Denmark constitutes a single organization and that criminal activity is an integral part of its operations. The ruling is based, among other things, on a review of documents seized from Bandidos MC, previous court cases, and testimonies from 53 individuals – including 35 former or current members.
– “The court found that the association – alongside a lawful purpose – also has an unlawful purpose due to the criminal acts committed by its members as a regular part of the association’s activities,” the judgment states.
The police’s temporary ban on the organization, issued on 22 May 2024 by the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK), was also upheld as lawful.
During the trial, Bandidos MC argued that its local chapters were independent entities and that the organization named in the case did not exist. The court rejected this claim and found that the association operates as a unified organization.
The court also upheld the prosecution’s request for the confiscation of Bandidos MC’s assets and property. This includes 30 club vests, various insignia, cash amounting to DKK 416,185, and a clubhouse in Løsning.
Bandidos MC in Denmark was ordered to pay the legal costs of the case, totaling approximately DKK 1.5 million.
The organization immediately appealed the ruling to the High Court.
