On Saturday at 12:00, it will become truly visible that the election campaign for the municipal and regional council is underway. It will then be allowed to hang up election posters, sparking a fierce competition to secure the best spots.

Parties and candidates have called upon members, friends, and family to help hang up the posters, which will remain up until the election on November 18th. They must then be taken down within a week.

There are clear rules regarding the size and placement of election posters, specifying where they are allowed and not allowed to be hung. Posters cannot be placed in parks, green areas, cemeteries, or surrounding fences. They also cannot be hung above or over highways, power lines, transformer stations, traffic signs, bridges, medians, and roundabouts with speeds exceeding 60 km/h. Additionally, there are requirements for distances and heights in relation to roadways, bike paths, and overhead cables.

Election posters can only be placed on road surfaces. On public roads, they can be hung on lamp posts, electrical poles, trees, fences, and designated stands for election posters. On private roads, they can be put up on poles, and on private property only with the owner’s permission.

All election posters must be taken down within eight days after the election, by midnight.
