From the daily incident report: Fires and incidents across Copenhagen
The Greater Copenhagen Fire Department carried out several operations over the past 24 hours from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
At 08:26, crews responded to Carsten Niebuhrs Gade, where a minor spill had occurred on the roadway due to a burst hydraulic hose. The spill was absorbed with absorbent material. Shortly after, at 08:31, a damage inspection was carried out in Store Regnegade following water damage in a building. The leak was stopped, and the matter was handed over to a plumber.
At 12:29, an alarm was raised about a fire in a trash bin at John Winthers Plads. The fire was quickly extinguished using half a bucket of water.
Later in the evening, at 19:22, a fire alarm was triggered in Absalonsgade. This turned out to be a real alarm caused by a small fire in a basement. Fire crews ventilated the premises before handing the scene over to the police and damage control services.
Early Thursday morning, at 06:19, there was a fire involving waste from a garbage truck on Hornemanns Vænge. The waste had already been removed from the vehicle before the fire department arrived, and the fire was extinguished using two high-pressure hoses before the scene was handed over to the waste management company.
Shortly after, at 06:41, crews responded to Øresundsvej where a fire had broken out in a trash bin. The fire was quickly extinguished with a high-pressure hose.
