Wet Friday with warning of heavy rain and local cloudbursts
It looks like it’s going to be a wet Friday for the entire Zealand, Lolland, and Falster region. Already from the morning hours, a lot of showers can be expected, but the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) has also issued a category 1 warning for heavy rain and local cloudbursts.
The warning applies to the entire capital region, Roskilde, Lejre, Solrød, Greve, Ringsted, Køge, Næstved, Faxe, Stevns, Vordingborg, and Guldborgsund municipalities, valid from 6.00 to 12.00.
According to DMI, between 25 and 35 mm of rain is expected in 6 hours. The rain may be accompanied by local cloudbursts with more than 15 mm in 30 minutes.
By the afternoon, the weather will clear up.
The temperature will be around 18 degrees Celsius with light to moderate southeast winds, shifting to southwest and west.
Previously, the article stated that there was a risk warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms for the entire Zealand, Lolland, and Falster regions, but DMI has subsequently changed and upgraded the warning.
