The Ukrainian company Fire Point, which produces rocket fuel among other things, is establishing itself in Southern Jutland, becoming the first Ukrainian defense company to have production in Denmark. The establishment is taking place near Skrydstrup Air Base outside Vojens.

This initiative is part of the Danish-Ukrainian cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and promoting European security. With this establishment, Denmark supports Ukraine’s resistance against the Russian invasion and fosters closer collaboration between the Ukrainian and Danish defense industries.

The factory will produce solid rocket fuel primarily for use by the Ukrainian military. It is expected that the factory will create several hundred jobs, mainly unskilled positions for both Danes and Ukrainians living in Denmark.

Minister of Business Morten Bødskov expresses that Denmark stands side by side with Ukraine and highlights the establishment as an important step in supporting the Ukrainian fight for freedom. The Minister also points out that the cooperation will benefit Danish businesses and national security.

Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen emphasizes the importance of strengthening the Ukrainian defense industry and highlights that the location in Denmark ensures that production is not disrupted by Russian attacks. He also sees opportunities for increased cooperation between Danish and Ukrainian companies.

The establishment is part of an agreement that the Danish government made with Ukraine in June. The agreement allows Ukrainian defense companies to set up production in Denmark. The government has allocated 500 million DKK to support the development of the Ukrainian defense industry on Danish soil.
