An internal report from the Copenhagen Municipality’s whistleblower unit reveals serious neglect at an unnamed nursing home in Copenhagen, where residents were reportedly found in vomit, feces, and with untreated wounds.

This is reported by Berlingske.dk.

The municipality’s own watchdog, the Citizen Ombudsman, has leveled sharp criticism against the Health and Care Administration, which provided misleading answers several times and only handed over documentation about the conditions after several years.

The Elderly Association refers to the case as “severe neglect” and points out that the problems cannot be explained by isolated errors.

The administration acknowledges that mistakes were made and apologizes for the lengthy process, but disagrees with some of the criticism, without specifying the reasons, as reported by Berlingske.dk.
