Two cars seized after reckless driving – one drove past the police at 258 km/h
On Saturday evening, two drivers were caught driving at extremely excessive speeds on Fjordlandsvej in Frederikssund.
This was disclosed by the North Zealand Police.
At 7:20 pm, the first car was recorded at a speed of 188 km/h on a stretch where the allowed speed limit is 90 km/h. About two hours later, another car was clocked – this time at a speed of a whopping 258 km/h.
Both cars were seized for confiscation.
According to the Road Traffic Act, reckless driving is defined as driving at more than 200 km/h or by exceeding the speed limit by over 100 percent, if the limit is at least 100 km/h.
