Train accident in Southern Jutland: One person killed
On Friday afternoon, a train accident occurred south of Bjerndrup between Kliplev and Tinglev in Southern Jutland.
The South and Southern Jutland Police report that one person has died and several others have been injured. Two individuals have reportedly been flown away in a medical helicopter according to the police. The relatives of the deceased have been informed.
The police state that an IC3 train and an agricultural vehicle are involved in the accident.
There were around 95 people on board the train when the accident occurred late in the afternoon.
Police and rescue personnel are still at the scene on Friday evening, and the police ask unauthorized persons to stay away to provide a calm working environment for the rescue teams.

The South & South Jutland Police have set up a gathering point at Bjerndrupvej 11, 6200 Aabenraa. Relatives of passengers can go there in person.

No trains for the rest of the day
DSB reports that due to the accident, no trains will be operating on the route between Tinglev and Sønderborg for the rest of the day. Efforts are being made to arrange for replacement buses to operate on the route instead.
