Fires and Incidents: Busy 24 Hours for the Capital’s Emergency Services

The Greater Copenhagen Fire Department had their hands full from the 2nd to the 3rd of August with a series of minor fires and a traffic accident.

The day began with an operation at 11:34 at Havneholmen, where there was a fire in an 800-liter metal waste container. The fire was quickly extinguished with a hose, and the scene was handed over to the police.

Later in the day, at 17:59, emergency services were dispatched to Carl Jacobsens Vej, where smoke from loading lamps had activated the fire alarm. Around 470 m² were ventilated, and the site was then handed over to a damage restoration company, a contact person, and the alarm company.

At 19:49, a building fire was reported at Kirkebjerg Parkvej. A minor fire in a room was extinguished with a hose, and the room was then ventilated. Fortunately, there was no spread to surrounding premises, and the scene was handed over to the damage restoration service.

At 23:50, there was a traffic accident on Åboulevard, where two cars collided at an intersection. The emergency services handled the cleanup, after which the matter was handed over to the police.

The night also saw two fire-related incidents. At 03:06, a fire in a garbage bin at Staunings Plads was extinguished with a hose. And at 04:05, there was a fire in three cars at Muldager, where the fire spread to vegetation near an allotment area. The fire was extinguished with two hoses, and the police took over the scene.
