81-year-old tricked by scammers – believed she was helping the Police Intelligence Service
An 81-year-old woman from Kgs.Lyngby has been the victim of a particularly brazen contact scam over the past week.
This is reported by Netavisen Sjælland.
The woman was contacted by phone by a person who claimed to be “Police Commissioner Alexander Jørgensen.” The fake police commissioner informed the 81-year-old woman that she had been selected to assist in a secret investigation for The Danish Security and Intelligence Service, PET.
In connection with this, the woman signed a so-called “confidentiality agreement” and was subsequently contacted at her address by a woman who managed to swindle her out of several thousand kroner.
