Three men arrested after violent assault in Brabrand

Three men were arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a violent assault on Gjellerupvej in Brabrand.

The incident took place around 4:12 p.m., when East Jutland Police received a report that a small group of men had assaulted a 30-year-old man and threatened two other individuals with a gun-like object.

According to the charges, the 30-year-old man was struck multiple times, including in the head with an object. When a 28-year-old and a 56-year-old man tried to help the victim, they were also threatened with what is described as a gun-like object.

After the assault, the perpetrators left the scene in a car. Based on descriptions and the vehicle’s details, a patrol managed to stop the vehicle at the intersection of Åby Ringvej and Gudrunsvej. Two men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested, and a gas pistol found in the car was seized.

Later in the day, a third man, 21 years old, was arrested when he was stopped in his car on Søren Frichs Vej. East Jutland Police also conducted searches at several addresses related to the arrested individuals and examined the crime scene for evidence.

According to the police, the involved parties are known to each other, and the assault stems from a disagreement. The case is still being investigated to clarify the sequence of events and the background of the assault.

The three men are currently charged with severe assault and threats to life. After questioning, they have been released, but the charges against them are maintained as the investigation continues.
