Man and woman found dead – here is the police conclusion

On Tuesday, a woman and a man in their 40s were found dead at an address in Nørresundby – now the police have reached a conclusion.

After a thorough investigation and based on the information collected and analyzed by the investigation, the police’s conclusion is that the man killed the woman, after which he took his own life.

This was stated by the investigation leader, Deputy Police Inspector Frank Olsen from North Jutland Police. He emphasizes that the police need to be extremely cautious with detailed information to the public – out of consideration for the relatives and for the ongoing investigation.

Frank Olsen can say that the two deceased had a relationship with each other, and that they had previously lived together at an address in North Jutland.

The police have a lot of work ahead in the coming time, including a number of technical investigations, several interrogations, and forensic examinations. In addition, a great deal of report material needs to be prepared so that all circumstances can be fully documented and the case thoroughly documented.

Therefore, the Deputy Police Inspector also requests the understanding of the public and the press that, for the above reasons, the police must be reserved with information in the case.
