Sent thousands of scam SMS messages
Three individuals have today been remanded in custody, suspected of being behind the sending of thousands of scam SMS messages.
The SMS messages contained links to fake websites, where citizens were deceived into providing their credit card information, which was then systematically abused.
On Friday, the Copenhagen Police arrested four individuals in relation to the case. The four were brought before a judge today, with three of them being remanded in custody for 24 days, while the fourth was released. The release was not appealed.
The Copenhagen Police state that the investigation is ongoing.
